Personally, I’d opt for one of the many overwater resorts in French Polynesia. As the birthplace of water villas, they’ve redefined the art of overwater living. I recommend one of the boutique resorts like  Le Taha’a or Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts for a more intimate experience.
